My girls LOVE waffles. In honor of National Waffle Day, we have this delightful waffle treat recipe for you: Caramel Churro Dessert Waffles. Make sure you have a glass of water handy because they sure are sweet, but oh so easy to make!
Caramel Churro Dessert Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 box Belgium waffles, pre-made
- 2 tbsp. Sugar
- 1 tbsp. Cinnamon
- Butter
- Chocolate sauce
- Caramel sauce
- Whipped topping
- Whipped topping
- Slivered Almonds

1. Toast the waffles so that they are warm and crunchy.
2. While the waffles are toasting, mix together the sugar and cinnamon mixture and put it in a shallow bowl.
3. With a pastry brush, brush butter all over the toasted waffle. Be sure to get into the cups of the waffle areas as well as the sides of the waffle on both sides.
4. Drop the waffle in the sugar and cinnamon mix so that the buttered areas will pick up the mix. Coat both front and back as well as the sides of the waffle. Repeat for each waffle.
5. Place waffles on a plate and drizzle with the desired amount of chocolate sauce.
6. Sprinkle with the almonds.
7. Dollop the whipped cream on the top.
8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over top the waffle and the whipped topping.
Serve and enjoy!
