This recipe I created using Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage is a quick meal, easily rounded out by adding a vegetable of your choice.
Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage and Pierogis Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 package Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage rope, sliced
- 1/2 small Sweet Vidalia Onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 32 oz. package of frozen cheddar pierogis
Directions
In a medium saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Add he pierogis and boil for 6 minutes.
While the pierogis are boiling, in a medium saute pan, heat the olive oil. Add the onions. Saute until the onion start to brown. Add the sausage. Saute until sausage begins to brown. Drain pierogis and add to saute pan. Saute the pierogis with the onion and sausage mix until the pierogis turn golden brown. Serve immediately.
