In our house, we love being able to have access to fresh, locally grown food. is the leading poultry producer on the West Coast and has been family-owned and operated since 1939. One of the things I love about Foster Farms is their new fresh Simply Raised and Organic antibiotic free lines, complete with a new logo and packaging. As a American Humane Certified brand, it’s important to me to know where my chickens were raised. It’s also important to know that there have been no steroids or hormones added ever! I don’t ever buy chicken at the grocery store that has had added hormones.
These chickens have been 100 percent vegetarian fed and no added sodium. They’re locally grown throughout CA, OR, and WA. They’re 100 percent natural. Meaning they are minimally processed, no additives or preservatives, steroids, or hormones.
Foster Farms Simply Raised is now available at major supermarkets and retailers, and the Organic line at Costco and select stores. I’m looking forward to no added sodium and USDA Certified Organic chickens (Organic certification verifies that livestock are raised according to the USDA organic regulations throughout their lives, including raised on organic vegetarian feed, on certified organic lands, without genetic engineering and managed in a way that conserves natural resources and biodiversity. www.ams.usda.gov/organicinfo).
And Foster Farms fresh chicken products are affordable, too! Foster Farms (boneless, skinless breast) Simply Raised is $6.49/lb and the Organic: $8.99/lb.
Here’s a great way to enjoy your Foster Farms Simply Raised Chicken. This recipe has much of the same flavor as a traditional sesame chicken dish, but I don’t do any of the coating and frying of chicken. It’s still tasty, but much healthier and notably lower in fat than a traditional Sesame Chicken recipe.
