Experience the magic of HGTV’s Santa HQ at Washington Square this holiday season. Last year we has a blast at the new HGTV Santa HQ. This year it’s back, and it’s better than ever. Discover holiday wonderment in this immersive and innovative interactive experience with visual elements that transport you straight to the North Pole. Enter the HQ to be scanned by the digital Naughty or Nice O’Meter, snap an “Elfie Selfie” in Santa’s workshop, and star in your own holiday video. Then onto the North Pole Observatory to experience Elf-Ray Vision in a 3D environment, all before meeting the big man in red himself for an opportunity to get your holiday photos with Santa!
You can make a reservation to avoid lines or take a chance on waiting in line. Either way, your kids will be enamored with this interactive experience. There is a family photo op as you enter Santa HQ and then you head straight to the Naughty or Nice O’Meter to see which list you’ve been added to.
As you enter the HQ, watch some HGTV for the latest in holiday trends and snap an “Elfie Selfie” in Santa’s workshop to star in your own holiday video. My twins made multiple elf videos of themselves and had to send them to themselves via email after watching them at the HQ. They couldn’t get enough of the Elfie Selfie. If you can’t get enough, you can download the app for endless fun at home, too.
Once you’ve made your Elfie Selfies, get ready to head to the North Pole Observatory. Use the special Elf-Ray Vision to see what’s going on behind doors and through windows in a special 3D environment. It’s wild.
After you’ve gone through the whole headquarters it’s time to visit the big man in red, Santa. Do you know what you want for Christmas? He’ll ask so I hope you’ve though about it. They have a photo opp where they will take a photo of your child talking with Santa and posing with Santa, and those photos are available for purchase. Walking through and experiencing Santa HQ is free of charge, but photos of Santa are at small cost. Sorry, there are no personal photos of Santa allowed. Here’s a copy of our photo with Santa.
