In all seriousness, the perfect Valentine’s Day gift is one that comes from the heart. It doesn’t (and shouldn’t relate to how much something cost. It isn’t flashy. It’s something thoughtful. It is the thought that counts.
When you’ve been in love with someone for 15 years (and hope to be in love with them for 50 more), every day is Valentine’s Day. A commercial holiday isn’t what matters. That isn’t what love is about, after all. Love is about your relationship—and one day of the year should not define your relationship. Unconditionally loving someone for who they are, what they are—regardless of anything else—IS what matters. You should show them you love them every day through gestures and actions. Actions speak louder than words. They always have and they always will.
