Tips for Fuel-Packed Snacks on the Go

Nutrition is an important component to any daily meal intake. When I’m on the go so often, it’s hard to get all the minerals and vitamins, protein and fiber in that I should be consuming on a daily basis. My kids are the same way—they have many after school activities, and on the weekends we are always on the go—traveling and exploring, either in our home state or somewhere new. That means that sometimes packing snacks on the go to satisfy our cravings are a necessity. Fiber One bars are a great way to fuel us up. We love being able to satisfy our hunger while getting in some extra fiber.

Tips for Fuel-Packed Snacks on the Go

The new Fiber One Bars at Costco have 25% less sugar than before and no artificial colors or flavors. These bars are so delicious they should have another name. Shopping at Costco is so easy! The Fiber One Bars are so easy to find right up front by the registers with the other snack bars, nuts, and such. I can walk in and grab Fiber One Bars and nothing else if I need to, like I did yesterday. Yes, I literally walked into Costco and walked out spending less than $25!

Tips for Fuel-Packed Snacks on the Go

Our favorite flavors are the Fiber One Lemon Bars and the Fiber One Oats & Chocolate Bars. I love the zesty, refreshing taste of the baked lemon. My kids think the Oats & Chocolate are actually a “treat”—shhhh, don’t tell them otherwise! Fiber One Bars are great for morning time school snack, after-school snacks, fueling up before or after gymnastics or dance for my daughters, and also as the perfect mid-day pick-me-up at a theme park. We’ve packed a bunch for our family vacation and theme park trip this week, because they hold up so well in a suitcase or daypack. When at home, we leave snacks for the kids in an accessible container so they grab what they need, when they need it without any fuss. We stock a small basket full of snack options and they can grab them to take to school or gymnastics as needed for fuel-packed snacks on the go.
