Back-to-school can be a challenging time for families. After a busy summer where kids often get out of their school routines, it can be a challenge to get back into a smooth routine as school approaches and gets under way. In our house, we try to get everyone back into their back-to-school routine a couple of weeks before school starts.
This year, that won’t happen as we’re on a family vacation right up until the week before school starts, so we’ll have to roll with the punches and do the best we can adjusting to that routine. Fortunately, Costco makes shopping for school breakfasts, snacks, lunches, and quick dinner sides easy. That will help getting into an easy routine for packing lunches will be made a bit easier. And breakfasts and weeknight dinner sides will sometimes be fast and easy, too! My kids have been packing their own snacks and lunches for years. They like the ability to choose what they want for lunch and the empowerment of being responsible for their own food choices for snack and lunches.
Costco makes it so easy to stock up on what you need at great prices. In addition to making it easy for my family, they stock brands that offer Box Tops for Education, which means my children’s classrooms benefit from the brands I trust and purchase. Right now, many of those brands are offering bonus Box Tops for Education offers, which means those benefits add up more quickly—that’s our favorite way to collect Box Tops!

We love being able to contribute extra funds to our kids’ school and classrooms. We maybe in a good school district, but even that doesn’t mean they have the funding they need, despite what our tax bill says they should be getting. Education is pricey. Classroom supplies are spendy. Playground upgrades are expensive. Extra-curricular activities are practically non-existent. Field trips basically don’t happen because our “well off” district doesn’t get budgeting because our school gets zip for specials because they assume our kids get what they need outside of the classroom, which just isn’t true for many of our families. Fortunately Box Tops for Education does help with some of these extras.

I collect box tops for my grandsons’ school. It’s amazing how many of those products we already buy!
