Meet Abby Ryder Fortson aka Cassie from Ant-Man and the Wasp

Acting since the age of 3, Abby Ryder Fortson has starred in several TV series in her short lifetime (Ella Novak in “Transparent,” Harper Weil in “The Whispers,” Sophie Pierson in “Togetherness,” and Clementine in the “The Mindy Project”). She’s has grown up so much since we saw her in Ant-Man. Now she’s back reprising the role of Cassie in Ant-Man and the Wasp, still as adorable as ever. She’s full of childhood whimsy and imagination while maintaining the decorum required of an adult star. Read more for our exclusive Abby Ryder Fortson Interview

While she may be a little Hollywood star, she’s still just a kid at heart, and it comes across in her work and in her interviews. One of her favorite things she did filming Ant-Man and the Wasp?
“They literally built a maze, and then we got to slide down on a toboggan!”

She gets excited telling funny stories—like one while shooting a scene we saw being filmed—just like any little kid does, complete with giggles. “Today…I was about to pour popcorn on Paul’s head, and then the popcorn flew back and it landed all over the scene.”

While she may be young, she’s not entirely naïve. We talked to her a little bit about her friends at home. She’s fully aware at the ripe old age of 10 that some people are only friends because of what you have. That’s a great observation for someone so young. We talked about her friends back home.

“It’s cool, but some people, I feel like are my friend because I’m an actor.” The fact that she can sense that now will serve her well later on in life.

What Super Power Does Abby Ryder Fortson Wish She Had?

While this soccer playing girl loves series like “Wings of Fire,” she’s not really into superheroes, but Cassie would want to be an Avenger (which would be fabulous, because who wouldn’t want to be an Avenger?—I can absolutely see Cassie as a member of the Young Avengers! She said if she has a superpower, she’d want it to be invisibility so she could sneak up on people.

Thanks to Walt Disney Studios for bringing me to Atlanta on an all-expense paid trip. As always, all opinions are my own.
