Let’s face it. BlogHer seems to be THE blogging conference for women. I’d heard of it even before I really started blogging. This year it’s in NYC, which is drivable from my home (although I opted for an inexpensive JetBlue ticket because it was less expensive than gas and parking).
So, I purchased my conference ticket. Check.
I booked my hotel room and bought a plane ticket. Check and check.
Now what? I’m still trying to figure out what exactly I hope to get out of this conference. I know I’ll make some great new friends and make some valuable networking connections. The problem is, I think I want more, but I don’t know what.
BlogHer has some great speakers lined up. Martha Stewart and Katie Couric are sure to be worth listening to. Some of the sessions will offer personal expression and writing tips. I’m not looking to build a relationship with a brand, although if the opportunity presents itself, I would consider it. I’ve been invited to a couple of offsite parties, but my main focus will be BlogHer itself and absorbing as much info as possible over 2 days.
