I’ve always wanted to go to a fortune teller. While I’m a skeptic (blame it on my ESTJ Myers-Briggs type indicator classification), I’m also not convinced that there aren’t people in this world who are more in tune or sensitive to certain energies. I’ve certainly experienced things that others haven’t so who am I to say that true fortune tellers or psychics don’t exist? One of the reasons I am skeptical of fortune tellers is because of the cost associated with it. “Hey, I went to this amazing fortune teller, and it was free!” said no one ever. Fortune tellers charge money. At least, I’ve never seen a free one in my travels. So, if someone has this amazing talent for being able to foresee the future, isn’t that the kind of service you would just share because you could? As a service to mankind? I guess every needs to make a buck a living. This isn’t the same kind of skill such as honed photography or writing skills. Apparently you are born with it. I don’t know, I do pro bono work with skills that I have developed, why wouldn’t fortune tellers do the same. Have a day job and then do good work because it’s good?
However, I do know a woman whom I believe to have “connections” to a set of energies that I do not. Again, I am a skeptic but she knew details that there are no human way she could have possibly known. I used the best poker face I possibly could. I gave her no information or affirmation that what she was saying made any sense to me. I didn’t do the, “oh yes, OMG, I can’t believe you are talking to him!” thing that you see on TV. I truly believe she had a connection to his energy. And guess what—it was free! She was just talking to someone else in a group of people and had this connection.
Have you ever been to a fortune teller or psychic? What was your experience?

I think that the more someone opens their minds to the belief that ghost, spirits, or whatever is out there …the more likely you are to have encounters with them.
I have been to 2 here in Vermont…both had different approaches and clearly knew things that had happened or did happen after the fact…And no information was given. They were not free, but surely a fair price!
