In the efforts to bring clean water to children all over the world who lack that basic resource, World Vision started the Zambian Project. Over 40,000 Zambians do not have access to clean water. Just think if you had to choose between going to school or spending those hours fetching water everyday. Then the water you do fetch is so contaminated that your children suffer from sores and illnesses they get from that water. That is the story of many children around the world. We can easily take clean water for granted, but just imagine…

The Water Effect is the campaign by World Vision that is successful in reaching a new person with clean water every 30 seconds. Just think that every 30 seconds someone gets clean water for the first time in their life and it is still hardly a dent! The reality is that 5 children die every minute because of the lack of clean water including complications from diarrhea, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene.
