Thanks to Citadines Trocadéro Paris for hosting us while in Paris. All opinions are our own.
When you’re planning a dream trip, if you’re anything like us, you probably have a list of must-do activities and must-see sights, as well as a list of B-list activities. If you have teens, they probably also have a list that includes famous monuments and places their TikTok and celebrity idols have made famous online or where to view the most beautiful sunsets in Europe.
When we planned our trip to Paris, my oldest daughter not only insisted on needing to visit the Eiffel Tower (I mean, of course, we were going to be in Paris) but also see the view from the Trocadéro. Why was this so important? Because her favorite member of BTS had been there a few months ago posing in front of the Eiffel Tower from the vantage point just beyond the Trocadéro and she felt the need to replicate those shots.
Little did she know that particular request was an easy one because the view of the Eiffel Tower from the Trocadéro is one of my personal favorites in the city. So when I was looking at hotel accommodation in Paris that could comfortably fit all four of us, we found the Citadines Trocadéro Paris, located in the 16th arrondissement, and it could not have been a better fit.
The Citadines Trocadéro Paris is just a short few minutes walk to the Trocadéro to view the Eiffel Tower, which was fantastic because it made easy access if you wanted sunrise, sunset, or golden hour photos. No messing around to travel across the city for a photo. Because it’s the Trocadéro, it’s generally quite busy during the day and around sunset, and being able to quickly access it during the off-hours was a dream. Exploring the Trocadéro itself will yield you the treasures of its expansive complex of museums, sculptures, gardens, and fountains located directly across from The Iron Lady.
One of our favorite restaurants is across the street from the Trocadéro, so also just a quick walk from the Citadines Trocadéro Paris—Café du Trocadéro. Café du Trocadéro is an edgy yet affordable restaurant with an Art Deco feel right across from the Trocadéro with views of the Eiffel Tower. We dined at sundown a few nights and watched the sun disappear as the lights came on in the Eiffel Tower. Calm, warm, and beautiful.

Visit Paris with Easy Access from Citadines Trocadéro Paris
The 16th arrondissement of Paris is not only popular because of its access to famous attractions but also because of its beauty. It is home to cobbled streets and bourgeois homes, reminding you of the charm of 19th-century Paris while being the wealthiest arrondissement in Paris. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Boissière, Trocadéro, and Victor Hugo metro stations.
River Seine
You can see the River Seine from some hotel rooms, but you can also stroll through the gardens in this area to admire the view—they overlook the River Seine opposite the Eiffel Tower.
Visit Trocadéro
As mentioned above, the Trocadéro is just a short walk from the Citadines Trocadéro Paris.
Musée de l’Homme and Musée de la Marine
Enjoy the scenic walk to the Musée de l’Homme (Museum of Mankind) and the Musée de la Marine (Maritime Museum), about a 10–15 minute walk from Citadines Trocadéro Paris.
National Museum of Asian Arts – Guimet Museum
Fly to Asia and discover more than 5 millennia of art. From Afghanistan to Japan, passing through the treasures of Angkor, the Guimet museum has a unique collection of works of art displayed within its refined and refined walls. Easy access via a 10-minute walk from Citadines Trocadéro Paris.
Aquarium de Paris
The Paris Aquarium is an easy 10-minute walk from the hotel, located in the Trocadéro gardens. More than 7,500 fish and invertebrates as well as the largest medusarium in Europe await your exploration. Did you know Aquarium de Paris has one of the largest shark tanks in France?
The
Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most visited monuments in the world, so it’s no surprise that it seems to be on almost everyone’s Paris to-do list. It does impress by size and presence, at more than 276 meters tall. You can get an incredible view from the Trocadéro, but another 10—15 minutes of walking gets you to the tower itself. The view from the top offers a 360° panorama of the city of Paris. You can buy tickets to go to the top on the same day, but they do sell out, so I prefer reservations.
Arc de Triomphe
Located on the right bank of the Seine, you can get to the Arc de Triomphe via two metro stops.
Leaving Citadines Trocadéro Paris, take the metro at the Boissière metro station headed toward Place Charles de Gaulle. In only 2 stops, you are facing the Arc de Triomphe—an emblematic monument that includes the names of the battles and generals of the revolution and the first empire. The terrace will offer you a panoramic view of the Champs-Élysées.
The Louvre Museum
The Louvre is the largest museum in Paris and home to the works of many civilizations. While huge, certainly a worthy trip. Look through the hundreds of windows of the Palais, gaze at the magnificent views of the Seine, and study art you’ll only have the opportunity to see in Paris. The Louvre is about 30 minutes from Citadines Trocadéro Paris, via metro lines 9 and 1.
