I received this item for review as part of the MPM Holiday Gift Guide. All opinions are my own.

If you love to bake, then you need to own some Silpat®  baking mats. I’ve been using the Silpat Mats for over a decade, and they are amazing. Silpat is the maker of original non-stick baking products, and their mats are a must-have for all bakers. Sasa Demarle Inc. has been committed to improving your baking experience for almost 50 years since the introduction of their top quality products such as Silpat.

Silpat Review and Giveaway

Silpat products don’t need greasing and replace the use of parchment parchment paper. No waste from parchment paper or other baking liners that can’t be resued. Nothing sticks to Silpat. Made of fiberglass and food-grade silicone, Silpat products are food safe, as well as FDA-, NSF-, and Kosher-certified.

They are easy to clean up, too: wipe the Silpat with a damp, soft sponge and then rinse with clean water. You can use a mild detergent if need be, but generally it isn’t needed. After years of use, you will see a bit of a patina build up, but that’s usual.

Silpat products are great for working with sticky and gooey materials such as dough, batter, taffy, caramel—just about anything your creative self may bake.

Silpat Review and Giveaway

Three of the most popular products avilable are the Silpat Mat (U.S. Half Size), Silpain, and Roul’Pat Mat (Full Size). Silpain’s non-stick properties are excellent for freezing and baking for all dough types. Silpain perforated qualities provide a perfect crusty finish, which is perfect for homemade pizza. Roul’Pat is a non-stick countertop mat, great for rolling dough, working with fondant, or underneath messy craft projects with your kids.

I could really use the large size Roul’Pat. I bake a lot, including pie crusts, breads, scones, cookies, and other things that require rolling or kneading, so the Roul’Pat would be a great help.
