Is it weird to love your floor cleaner? Because I have a new love…the Bona Wood Floor Spray Mop. Added to my other floor cleaning love, my floor cleaning is covered! This lean, mean, cleaning machine makes my hardwood floor cleaning much easier and quick than before. I discovered Bona at BlogHer this summer in San Jose.
It's hard to tell in the photos—because the lighting in that section of our house isn't great for photography—but the floors are cleaner and streak-free. They had been vacuumed the day before, but with a dog and four kids, they always need cleaning.
The Bona microfiber cleaning pad collects dust and dirt like nobody's business. And the fact that it is washable and not disposable makes my green self happy. Each Bona microfiber cleaning pad can be washed up to about 300 times. That's a lot of washes and a lot of floor cleanings.
The refillable cartridge uses an environmentally sound PH neutral cleaner. The cleaner is non-toxic and residue free. I love how wide the spray is! It almost reaches to the ends of the mop, so you get a more even spread of cleaner rather than having it pour out into one spot in the center of the mop head.
The mop is lightweight, ergonomically designed, and pretty easy to maneuver. By pretty easy, I mean easy for anyone with a normal sized hand. I have small hands, so anything that is designed to fit your average person is always a little more difficult for me to maneuver. If I had it my way, the arm would be a little bit shorter or adjustable, but overall it's well-designed.
Another great thing about this mop is that the head swivels so that I can get into tight spots while still keeping enough pressure to actually mop the floor.
