I was feeling a bit French today. Or maybe I was just missing my best friend. Either way, bread and cheese, paired with wine (of course!!) is what’s on the menu tonight. I decided on a baguette from the Ren Hen Baking Company and Weybridge cheese from Scholton Farm Cellars at Jasper Hill for dinner. I paired it with a Chateau Ste Michelle 2010 Riesling Columbia Valley. Perfect end to a long day. Wine Enthusiast gave this vintage 90 points. The nose on this wine smells of green apples, honey, and a hint of something floral. The palate is clean, crisp, with medium acidity, and green apples and honey. It paired well with the Brie-style cheese, although could be easily enjoyed on its own.
