On my walking tour of Bogota today, I stumbled upon a great little chain called Crepes and Waffles. Their specialties include crepes and waffles, fresh fruit, coffee beverages, and artisan ice cream. I had been interested in a crepe and some espresso so I stopped.
I ordered a crepe with Nutella and fresh sliced bananas and a single espresso. You can’t go wrong with chocolate and bananas. The the cashier asked if I wanted some ice cream on my crepe. Yes, please!! So I ordered their banana crunch ice cream, as it seemed to go with the theme.
I like ice cream, and I really love good premium ice cream. I’m a big fan of Ben and Jerry’s, and this ice cream almost puts B&J’s to shame. It was creamy banana ice cream with frozen banana chunks and chocolate covered crunchies throughout. All of their ice creams are natural, low fat, and fresh with no preservatives. It was quite possibly the best ice cream I have ever had…and I’ve hat a lot of really good ice cream. Undoubtedly, I will be having some more of this before my last week in Bogota is up.
