Do you and your family love the great outdoors? My family and I certainly do. In fact, for #ForestFriday yesterday we hiked in British Columbia while on vacation! A new campaign will help make finding local forests and fun forest activities easier than ever before.
DiscovertheForest.org is a new website featuring and interactive map and other tools to locate nearby forests and parks. You can even filter by zip code and activities. Free outdoor activities are also available for download, so you can take them with you the next time you visit the forest. The website offers various sections where you can learn about the forest and its ecosystem, what to prepare before you go and the rules of the forest, and learning guides to know more about what you’ll be seeing while exploring.
