As someone who travels a lot and also works from home, I struggle to find the right pieces to add to my wardrobe when I need updates. And I hate clothes shopping. It’s tiresome. Many manufacturers don’t make great pieces, sizing isn’t consistent across the board, and I’m short and curvy with large breasts. I haven’t had an easy time shopping for clothes since middle school. I either shop for hours and find nothing, or I find a shirt that fits after shopping all day and I buy it all the colors available and wear it until it’s out of fashion or falls apart, whichever comes first.

Thanks to Stitch Fix for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.

And then my friends introduced me to Stitch Fix. I was pretty hesitant to buy clothes online, I won’t lie. I thought if clothes shopping in the store was challenging, how could someone I’ve never met pick clothes for me to try and send them to try on?

Stitch Fix shipment items

I was shocked. I get to try them on in the comfort of my own home and send them back when I’m done choosing. And so far, everything has fit!

Find Your Perfect Piece with Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service tailored to your taste, budget, and lifestyle. They carry myriad styles in sizes 0–24W and XS–3X. You complete a pretty extensive Style Profile when you sign up and one of their expert stylists will hand-select apparel and accessory items just for you. You only pay for what you keep and return the rest in a prepaid envelope. Most months you get a bottom, couple of tops, jacket, and accessory, depending on your preferences. You can request different items, too, if you need handbags or shoes or pieces for special occasions. You can also set a price range so you determine how much you are willing to spend on the types of pieces you want to buy. Stitch Fix then helps you find your perfect piece each time.

Ask your Stylist for Specific Needs

One of the best parts of Stitch Fix is that you can add notes to send to your stylist. So if you have a special occasion or event coming up, you can put in special requests. I have a spring and summer of conferences and travel coming up so I was looking for great travel pieces, including a bag that could be used for conferences as travel.

My Fix

My first Fix, I kept everything! My second Fix, I kept one piece—the Dara Zipper Detail Backpack by Market & Spruce—and was on the fence about another, but ultimately decided with four kids and a dog, the adorable white jeans they sent I would never be able to keep white despite how much I loved them. I can’t wait for my next Fix to arrive at the end of the month!

Try Stitch Fix for Yourself

If you schedule your first Fix by June 1, 2019, you will receive a $25 credit! Sign up for Stitch Fix to get styled for your special moments and everyday fashion.
