There’s nothing like 100,000-square-feet of water park fun and Halloween-centric activities for the whole family. Throughout the month of October, families can find special complimentary guest programming from a Howl–O–Ween House in the lobby to nightly Howl–O–Ween themed dance parties, Haunted Hustle scavenger hunts, boo bingo, and more at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA, as part of the special Howl-O-Ween activities.

We were invited to experience a weekend of press event fun at Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA. Our contributor Amber from DazzlingDailyDeals.com (and her family) attended for us. As always, all opinions are our own.
I had the privilege of visiting Great Wolf Lodge at the Grand Mound location in Washington with my family earlier this month. We were there to learn about Howl-O-ween and their other upcoming seasonal attractions.
During Howl-o-ween, the lodge is transformed into a family-friendly fright fest! From the decorations to the food and everything in-between Great Wolf Lodge has embraced the season.

Starting on October first, the lodge gets decorated from head to toe. You will notice from the moment you walk through the front door you will be greeted with their giant balloon spider. Here is where they host their nightly balloon drop dance party where kids and parents can get down to some of the most popular dance party songs.
One of my favorite traditions, when we go to Great Wolf Lodge, is the nightly story time. During the month of October, it turns into Spooktacular Story Time! The cozy setting is next to their signature fireplace and all dressed up with their full-sized “haunted house”. Make sure to grab your favorite PJ’s as your favorite character’s read you a story. At the end, you can stay for a special photo op for you and your children.

Make sure you pack your costumes because you won’t want to miss the Trick-Or-Treat Trail. Here you will make your way around the lodge as you visit their not-so-scary trail stops, where you will collect tricks-or-treats as you go!

OLIVER’S MINING CO: This was one of our favorite activities. First, you start by going through the mirrored mining maze. I tell you this was so well done, that even the adults were having trouble finding their direction. Once you find the “moonstone” you are presented with a dirtbag to sift through. Here the kids get to mine for gems that they actually get to take home. When you are all bagged up they give you a label and a gemstone identification card to discover your treasures.
HOWL AT THE MOON MINI GOLF: Bring your whole pack to play Howl at the Moon Glow Golf and enjoy an immersive black light experience that brings a nature-themed forest to vibrant life. Nine creatively designed holes will challenge and entertain players of all ages.

HOWLERS PEAK ROPES COURSE: This outdoor extreme course will get your heart pumping, perfect for both kids and adults. This harnessed course puts up in control, walk the rope, zipline, balance… go high, stay low. it’s up to you. (Be sure to bring shoes for climbing. For your safety, your shoes must be closed-toed and closed heel with rubber soles. Athletic shoes are ideal. No flip-flops are permitted). Make sure you book your stay early, especially for weekend stays, as they fill up quickly, and make sure you check out their website for specials and discounts.
