Cool tech is always at the top of my gift list for any gift-giving reason. Best Buy has helped curate a Top Tech List for your gift-giving needs. This holiday, check out why iRobot Roomba 690 is one of the Top Tech Gifts of the Season. Thanks to Best Buy for sponsoring this post.
The iRobot Roomba 690 is a killer robot vacuum, and at $375, the hours this bad boy saves me are ridiculous. Its features are virtually endless, but I’m going to share a few of my favorites and the reasons why it’s hitting the lost of Top Tech for the holiday season. If you love giving hot tech and you’re looking for an amazing product for a gift, iRobot Roomba 690 should definitely be on your list.
Seamless navigation
A full suite of sensors enables Roomba to seamlessly navigate around obstacles (like chairs and whatnot), under furniture, and sweep along wall edges while avoiding stairs and other drop-offs. With four kids, there are always things left lying around. It doesn’t matter what’s been left out, our Roomba navigates around those items and keeps on cleaning.
Works on carpets and hard floors
iRobot Roomba 690 keeps carpets and hard floors clean. The iRobot Roomba 690 automatically adjusts to vacuum all floor types, and seamlessly moves onto low-pile carpet and back to hardwood without any effort. It has a low-profile design, so at 3.6″ high, it cleans under furniture, beds, and toe kicks.
There’s an app for that
We all love apps that let us use our tech toys on the go. The iRobot HOME App lets you connect to clean from anywhere. You can make presets to clean on a schedule up to 7 times a week.
Returns to base camp when done
The iRobot Roomba 690 has an automatic docking and recharging feature, so after your floors are clean, the robot returns to the docking station to charge up for the next round. The lithium-ion battery provides up to 60 minutes of run time per full charge.
Works with connected home tech
If you use connected home technology like Amazon Alexa or Google Home, you can use voice control capability to ask Alexa device or the Google Assistant to start, stop, or dock your robot.

I have an iRobot Roomba but didn’t know it has an app to go with it – is it just this model, or is it all models? (I bought one of the cheaper $179 models on Amazon, I believe)
