Taste Washington, the nations largest wine and food event, is less than two weeks away! I’m looking forward to a weekend in Seattle to drink, eat, and learn about the wines of Washington. Taste Washington is March 29–30, 2014, at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.
Saturday and Sunday mornings, you can attend your choice of 4 seminars. You’ll find me blending wine Saturday morning at the Northstar Blending Experience Seminar where Seattle’s own Master Sommelier Rob Bigelow will be leading a true hands-on wine blending event.
In the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday, you’ll be able to experience amazing wine and food pairings. Since Seattle is home to a variety of unique culinary experiences, including 13 James Beard Award-winning chefs and hundreds of amazing restaurants, Taste Washington has selected many wonderful local restaurants to represent the Seattle culinary scene and to pair with your Washington wine. I’ll be at the grand tasting event sampling these wine and food pairings. Watch for my Instagram photos during the event and review post afterward.
And if you happen to live in Seattle or will be in town on March 27, you should absolutely attend the First Annual Red & White Taste Washington Magnum Party at Chihuly Garden and Glass. I am so bummed I won’t be able to get to Seattle in time for that event, as it’s two of my favorite things in one place: Chihuly glass and wine.
