Sometimes timing in life just sucks.
Tuesday night I sprained my knee. In and of itself, a sprained knee isn’t that big of a deal. But it’s the timing of it that blows. We are supposed to go on a family vacation tomorrow, which includes three days in DC walking around and visiting DC attractions. I’m going to try my darndest to still be able to go, but I know that our walking will be much more minimal than anticipated. But we can’t skip it entirely; our kids will be so disappointed. I’m doing everything I’m supposed to: resting, icing, compressing, elevating.
Even if I make it through DC, I may not be able to participate in the LoziLu Mud Run on July 7. I’m thinking that only two weeks may not be enough healing time. But I’ll play it by ear. Maybe I can just hobble through the 5k.;) I’ll be more disappointed than my kids would be to miss DC. Whaaaaaa.
The good new is that I should be fully recouped by the time Blog Her rolls around in August. Thanks goodness for that!!
Anybody have any miracle sprain recovery regiments they care to share?
