• 2 cups sugar

1. Add water and sugar to a saucepan.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high and boil for 1 minute.
3. Remove saucepan from heat and cover with a tight-fitting lid.
4. Allow the simple syrup to steep and cool for 12 to 15 minutes.
5. Pour simple syrup into a Mason jar (or another airtight container).
6. Refrigerate until ready to use, up to 4 weeks
