New Clips from Disney/Pixar's THE GOOD DINOSAUR #GoodDino

My girls and I saw an early screening of Disney/Pixar’s THE GOOD DINOSAUR last night. It was a touching story of an Apatosaurus names Arlo who makes an unlikely friend in a human “critter” named spot as he journeys to find his way home after getting separated from his family. Bring the tissues, because you’ll probably need them.

I was amazed at how much visual storytelling The Good Dinosaur had compared to dialogue. This is one of those films where the visuals really led the story. There was much less dialogue than in a typical movie, but the plot moves along just fine. It’s beautiful, touching, and timeless story of family, friendship, and believing in yourself.

While rated PG, The Good Dinosaur is definitely intense for young children, so if your we ones are very sensitive, this may be a film that best left to wait to be seen until you are in the confines of your own home and you can pause the DVD player. I was actually surprised at just how intense some of the moments were and how many of those intense moments the film had. Otherwise, this is a great family film to see over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Good Dinosaur asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.
