Monday, March 3 is Read Across America Day. It also happens to be the day after the birthday of the beloved children’s author Theodor Seuss Geisel—better known as Dr. Seuss!
Every year, the National Education Association (NEA) holds Read Across America, a nationwide initiative to help foster literacy. For years, this event has been held in March in conjunction with Dr. Seuss’ birthday (March 2). While there are lots of events around the country to celebrate Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday, here are a couple of fun events in the greater Portland, OR, area.
