Deadpool Cupcakes

• 1 box of vanilla cake mix
• 3 eggs
• 1/2 cup of softened unsalted sweet cream butter
• 1 cup whole milk
• 1 tbsp. pure vanilla bean paste
• Red and Black gel food coloring
• Cupcake liners
• Cupcake tin

Directions for Cupcakes

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Line cupcake tin with the cupcake liners.
3. In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, butter, milk, and vanilla bean paste and mix until combined
4. Divide the batter into 2 bowls and add one color into each bowl (1 bowl is for red and the second bowl is for black).
5. Mix each bowk individually until the shades are what you like.
6. Scoop about 1 tbsp. of each colored batter into the cupcake liners until the liners are 3/4 full.
7. Bake in the oven for about 21 minutes.
8. Pull out and set aside to cool (I feel like there’s room for a terribly inappropriate Deadpool style joke in here…)

Frosting Ingredients

• 1 cup unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
• 2 1/2 cups powder sugar
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3–5 tbsp. heavy whipping cream
• Red and Black gel food coloring
• 1 disposable piping bag with a star tip

Deadpool Sprinkle Mix

1 pouch of Red and Black Nonpareil’s, Red and Black Jumbo Nonpareils and sprinkle Jimmies (bought from Michaels craft stores)

Directions

Combine all sprinkles into a bowl and mix until well combined.

Deadpool Frosting

Directions

1. Using a standing mixer, combine all ingredients and mix on medium speed.
2. If your frosting starts to look a little like powdery rocks, add another tablespoon of heavy whipping cream.
3. Mix until you see creamy stiff peaks start to form.
4. Once the frosting is mixed, split it into two bowls.
5. Add about 2–4 drops of each color in their individual bowls and mix until the color is completely mixed.
6. Place the piping bag into a large glass and fold the sides of the bag over the opening of the glass.
7. Scoop one spoonful of the Red icing onto one side of piping bag.
8. Scoop one spoonful of the Black icing onto another side of the piping bag.
9. Frost the cooled cupcakes.
10. Sprinkle some of the Deadpool sprinkles onto the cupcakes and enjoy, maybe after chimichangas!
