This holiday, we’ve partnered with Fox Home Ent and DreamWorks Animation to bring you the
Holiday Cheer Challenge! As always, all opinions are our own. We make a small commission if you buy something through one of our affiliate links. Thank you for supporting our small business.

Every children’s movie, every holiday film, has a message within. This holiday season, we’re sharing the message of Dragons Holiday – Gift of the Night Fury. We love Astrid’s attempt at making new holiday traditions, but we especially love the message of giving. We had traditions of our own growing up and we’ve tried to make some of our own with our kids.
One of my favorite holiday traditions as a child was selecting names from the angel tree in town and choosing items for kids less fortunate than us. That’s a message we’ve tried to instill in our own kids—that there is always someone less fortunate and make sure that we give back to those in need. No matter your circumstance, no matter what’s going on, someone can always be in a worse place and to keep those people in mind.
We’ve carried on this tradition with our own kids. We collect items and shop for kids during the holiday season (and other times of the year, too) and bring them to our local shelter or food bank.
What do you do to give back during the holiday season?
Pick your favorite DreamWorks Animation Holiday title and choose a message that speaks to you! Merry Madagascar, Shrek the Halls, Dragons Holiday – Gift of the Night Fury, or
Kung Fu Panda Holiday?
How will you spread cheer this season? Crafting, cooking, decorating, calling family members, donating, volunteering? Let us know!
