The Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator has joined my family and made my kitchen smarter. I can’t even believe it’s here. It was one of my top picks after seeing it at CES this year. I was so impressed at all of the features available.

Their Family Bulletin board feature on Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator smart fridge was a huge family selling point. Four kids, two parents, and a dog? That’s something I need in my life. A way for us to all be connected and keep track of all of the schedules, my fridge to tell me what’s in it while I’m shopping at the grocery store, the ability to tell me what I can make with the ingredients that I have, and so much more.

I also love the Finger-Print Proof Coating on the large capacity 28 cu. ft. full depth fridge (that happens to also be ENERGY STAR®-Compliant). What parent wouldn’t want a fridge with finger-print resistant coating? And why aren’t all stainless steel appliances standard with a coating like this?

The Surface LED Lighting is slick as are the stainless steel accents on the interior shelving and door bins. It just gives it a classy interior design. The overall inside is well-designed, too. From tempered glass spill-proof shelves to flip-up shelves, from gallon door bins to EZ slide-out shelves in the freezer and FlexZone™, all of these are features that make your fridge experience just a step up in quality.

I also love that even though it’s a Samsung, they make the Samsung Home App available for my iPhone and my Samsung phone, so you don’t have to be exclusively a Samsung user to access the features, which is great because so many people are iOS users. I love that compatability friendly feature. Thanks, Samsung!

Here are some of the incredible features that make the Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator just absolutely insanely awesome.

Family Hub

Make the kitchen the center of your home with a 21.5″ WiFi-enabled LCD touchscreen. My husband joked the LCD on the Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator was bigger than his computer monitor. I think he’s only barely exaggerating. He’s got a 19″ monitor at his desk. Three built-in cameras take a picture of the inside of your fridge so you can see what’s in there at any given time (or at least the last time you shut the door). This is perfect for when someone forgets to write down that they used the last of the butter. Apparently I can also order groceries online from the touchscreen.

The sharing of multiple calendars, photos, and notes is what I mentioned above that was such a neat connectivity feature for the family.

I can also stream music, videos, and mirror my tv on that touchscreen. So cool. I’ve been streaming from Pandora nonstop since the fridge got installed. I can watch videos of recipes while I’m cooking or simply pull up a recipe from my blog or YouTube. I love that convenience factor.

You can also draw and send notes on the white board. I can draw a note on the app and send it to the fridge from my phone, and vice versa. It’s a great way to stay in touch with my family with all of my traveling.

Flexzone™

As a wineaux, I love this feature! The flexible, bottom-right door of the Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator changes to a fridge or freezer, maximizing fresh food storage space. I can create a beverage fridge in that corner allowing me to have a wine fridge. It even has a white wine setting built in. BOOM. It comes with five customizable fridge temperature settings: White wine cool at 41 degrees F, Cheese/Veggie at 35 degrees F, Chill/Meat at 30 degrees F, Soft Freeze at 23 degrees F, and Freezer at -8 degrees F–5 degrees F. All you have to do is select the one you need (which is obviously 41 degrees F for white wine).

Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator

Triple Cooling

The Triple Cooling Premium cooling system provides precise temperature control in all three zones, using one compressor and three evaporators, an industry first, for ultimate freshness and energy efficiency.
