It’s the day after Christmas, my house is a mess;
wrapping and gifts strewn about give me stress,
My kids woke up early and the day started great,
but there was fighting and whining and arguing by 8.
I had to work and was glued to the table,
while interruptions were plenty and no one was able
to fend for themselves. No surprises there.
My kids think my sole purpose is to play mediator.
But the day has drawn down and the arguing less.
At least pretty soon for bed they’ll be dressed.
Dinner’s been served, and so has the wine.
Thank goodness for that, I think I’ll be fine.

Nice. Doesn’t everyone always like a happy ending?
Love this! Sounds identical to my house. Thanks for sharing!
LOL Sorry you were stressed but YAY for wine!
