How about a little ice wine to finish off this beautiful day? Snow Farm Vineyard (South Hero, VT) makes my favorite ice wine. Tonight’s bottle it a 2007 Vermont Vidal Blanc and it’s fantastic. Hints of mango, pineapple, and honey make this wine enjoyable anytime of time–a little before dinner and after dinner.
I’m not the only one who believes this wine is good. In the January 2009 Wine Spectator (Editor’s Choice Edition), Snow Farm is mentioned “as one of only five wineries whose wines have come to their attention from the 46 smaller wine producing states in the U.S.” (Snow Farm Vineyard website).
