UNICEF Tap Project has been helping children around the world get access to clean drinking water since 2007. The 2014 UNICEF Tap Project challenges you to put down your phone. For every 10 minutes that you don’t touch your phone, UNICEF can provide one day of clean water to someone who needs it. While the app runs, you are shown facts and figures about drinking water across the world. This March, I’ll be using this program on my phone to try to help provide water to those in need.

It’s so easy! Just go to the web page (which I have added to my home screen). Every time I put my phone down, I’ll load the page!

The splash screens of facts act like cheerleaders, encouraging you to keep your phone still so you can learn more.

I used to work in international development…these types of issues are near and dear to my heart. #globaldev #internationaldevelopment

I could have gone much longer without using my phone, but I wanted to get some screen shots for my post. 🙂
