One of the things I love about working for myself is the ability to volunteer at my kids’ school and at after school activities such as Girl Scouts. VolunteerSpot is an online tool that makes my life easier by keeping my volunteer activity commitments in one place.
VolunteerSpot aims to help people save time and money by creating a simple one-stop-shop for all scheduling and fundraising needs. VolunteerSpot’s free versions gives me the ability to lead volunteering efforts for my kids while saving time and tracking what I have signed up for, as well as allowing me to see at a glance what slots are available for filling and what still needs to be filled. That’s invaluable for me and my children’s classrooms and activities. I’m busy with managing my own business, but I want to volunteer, too.
VolunteerSpot makes managing big or small activities and events simple and streamlined. Our school uses VolunteerSpot to manage activities school wide, and our Girl Scout troop uses it to manage as few as two meetings monthly. VolunteerSpot is flexible enough to meet the demands of both groups.
This fall I’ve signed up to teach Art Literacy in my daughter’s classrooms at school, and I’ll use it for general classroom volunteer work soon. I’ve also signed up to be the parent volunteer at our Girl Scout Brownie meetings at meetings throughout the entire school year, as well as signed up for snack throughout the school year! The other handy feature about VolunteerSpot is that it’s available on mobile, too, making it easy for me to access my commitments on the go. If you’re a busy parent like me, the mobile version is maybe even more important than a desktop platform.
