I received a BeachFront Baby Sling in Tropical Punch to review. All opinions are my own.

Beachfront Baby Wraps Baby Sling {Review}

The Beachfront Baby Wraps Baby Sling was my first time using a sling carrier with my child. While we have been avid baby-wearers since day 1 and own multiple styles and brands, this is our first sling. I was always concerned that a sling-style carrier wasn’t going to be ‘secure’ because it doesn’t buckle, zip, or tie but that turned out to be one of my favorite features—no need to zip, buckle, or tie!

The lightweight mesh is incredibly strong and provides more than adequate support and despite the soft, breathable, flexible, flowing material the sling stayed put once it was properly pulled through the rings. With easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions, positioning my toddler and tightening the sling was a breeze, requiring no additional help or support.

The sling comes in petite, regular, and XL sizes, making it a great choice for woman of any shape or size. Using the XL there was more than enough fabric to accommodate a much larger mom, dad or baby without feeling smothered in excess heavy fabric as some wrap style carriers I’ve used. At 30 inches wide, the sling is tall enough to tuck securely under the child’s butt and comes far enough up to the shoulders to give a good, secure feeling fit. The 100% polyester jersey is perfect for this product.

In water, the sling is lightweight and doesn’t get heavy or shift and transitions well from wet to dry. The bulk of the water drips off very quickly, and the fabric dries even while in use, making it comfortable to keep on after playing in the water. In the shower, the soap rinsed out better than I expected. The open lattice of the jersey allows heat to come out and air to get to my toddler, which kept him cool and comfortable, even in the sun. The fine beach sand shook out easily when the sling fully dried, and the metal rings make it ideal to hang just about anywhere. The bright red polyester didn’t bleed the color during use and held up well to sun, salt, and chlorine.

I can’t imagine a better product for its purpose. I recommend parents try this sling. If you’re new to baby-wearing, it’s really user-friendly and a great product to get you started. If you’re an aficionado, this might be your new favorite accessory, and it comes in 11 colors ranging from neutral to nearly neon so there is definitely an option for almost everyone.

    That looks like a comfortable way to hold baby! I like that it’s lightweight, too!
