The first day back to school can be stressful for kids and parents. For some of us, it can be a relief to have them back at school. For others, it’s a tearful occasion. I love my children dearly, but I’m definitely looking forward to the first day of school. To commemorate the day, I take a picture of them in front of the house with their backpacks all ready to walk out the door— an individual photo and then a group photo.
How do you commemorate the first day back to school? Do you do something special? What traditions have you seen? Here are what two of my readers do.
Cassee L.: For the first day I always take a picture with her holding a piece of paper, then I add the date and grade information.
Pepper F.: I have a printable that I have the boys hold for pictures and I’m also planning fun school themed bentos.
