New Halloween-themed ‘Disney After Hours BOO BASH’ coming to Magic Kingdom This Fall!

Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. Today marks #HalfwaytoHalloween, and Disney Parks just announced a brand new Halloween-themed Disney After Hours event coming this fall to Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort!

This year's new Disney Halloween party as part of the “Disney After Hours” event series is called “BOO BASH.”

New Halloween-Themed ‘Disney After Hours BOO BASH’

The “Disney After Hours BOO BASH” will take place on select nights, from August 10–October 31 (2021) from 9 p.m. to midnight. Halloween-themed festivities include:

  • Halloween-themed cavalcades
  • Candy stops, with plenty of sweet surprises
  • Character sightings throughout the park
  • Special performances by the Cadaver Dans
  • Low-wait times at over 20 attractions, including favorites like Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain
  • Halloween-themed food and beverages available for purchase
  • Themed décor, lighting, music, and more!

Get in the spooky spirit with Halloween-themed cavalcades. Indulge your sweet tooth at candy stops throughout the park. See some of your favorite and fiendish Disney friends as they lurk about, from Dr. Facilier and Captain Barbosa, to Goofy and Chip ‘n' Dale.

Stop and listen to the Cadaver Dans during their special comeback (from the dead) performance. And enjoy themed offerings, from sweet treats to savory delights. The Halloween party at Disney Parks is always a favorite (followed closely by the Holiday party!) I'm so excited to have it back this year!

Tickets for the new “Disney After Hours BOO BASH” Halloween party allow guests to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7 p.m. without the purchase of a day park ticket or Disney Park Pass theme park reservation, which is awesome if you want to enjoy a little more time for some of your favorite attractions.

'Disney After Hours BOO BASH' Debuts Aug. 10 at Magic Kingdom Pa

This Halloween season, something special is brewing for Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. “Disney After Hours BOO BASH” will be a three-hour event that begins when the park closes on select nights from Aug. 10 through Oct. 31. More details will be announced soon. (Kent Phillips, photographer)

If you've never been to Halloween-themed at Disney Parkes, guests of all ages and even immortal ones can wear costumes to celebrate, but masks are only allowed for kids under 14. Disneybounds are a great way to wear a costume without going overboard. You can read all the park rules regarding Costume Guidelines at Walt Disney World ahead of time so there are no surprises.

Please remember at this time, all guests are required to wear approved face coverings during the event. Before you arrive, check out the Walt Disney World  Know Before You Go page for details or questions you may have about your visit.

What are Disney After Hours?

If you aren't familiar with Disney After Hours, you're missing out and you definitely need to grab your ticket to the next event and remedy that! Disney After Hours parties are a BLAST! DAH is a special event that’s open to a limited number of guests that happen after normal park operating hours.

The DAH experience offers shorter wait times at more than 20 attractions, from classics such as the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain to newer favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. It’s a spooktactular time for all!

What's your favorite Disney special event?
