Busy family, busy weeknights. We love being able to let Papa Murphy’s help us put a fresh-basked meal on the table. One of the things I LOVE about Papa Murphy;s is how fresh all of their ingredients are. Their stores don’t even have freezers. All of their ingredients are delivered fresh to the store. I was excited to visit a local Papa Murphy’s—one of the busiest store in Portland—to get a behind-the-counter look at how they operate.
The Favorites Case is where you can grab your favorite ready-made and to-go items…cookie dough, cheesy bread, salads, etc.
Mmm…the new Cheesy Bread is soooo good.
Giant mixer for all the batches of dough. The dough is mixed, kneaded, rolled, and sheeted fresh each day.
I need a commercial-grade dicer in my kitchen! Again, all the veggies and ingredients are prepped fresh each morning.
The new Udi’s Gluten-Free pizza crust is very tasty.
Everything is delivered fresh several times a week. Here’s some of the fresh produce in the walk-in cooler.
Time to make the pizza! The service bar is where the pizzas are assembled.
Pizza service bar for assembling the pizzas. Everything is measured and weighed to ensure consistent pizza making across all of the Papa Murphy’s stores.
Cards show how much of which ingredients go on each of the different varieties and sizes of pizza to help ensure consistency and quality of the pizzas.
Even the dough is weighed so each crust has the same amount of dough in it.
